Slot Creator

Slot Creator by Code Creations

End User Licence Agreement

The short version

This summary is for convenience only. The full EULA below applies.

1. Scope and acceptance

1.1 This End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") is between you and Eight Galaxies, trading as Code Creations ("Eight Galaxies", "Code Creations", "we", "us" or "our"). It governs the Desktop App and the Kits and forms part of the Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.

1.2 You accept this EULA when you agree to it while creating an Account, or when you download, install, copy, export or use the Desktop App or any Kit. If you do not agree, do not download, install, export or use them.

1.3 If you accept this EULA for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation.

1.4 Nothing in this EULA limits rights you have under law that cannot be excluded by contract, including any right to make a back-up copy or to decompile software for interoperability where the law expressly allows it.

2. Definitions

3. Licence grant

Provided you comply with this EULA and the Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to:

  1. install and use the Desktop App on devices that you own or control, to design, test and export your own Creator Games;
  2. use, copy and modify the Kit Materials to develop, test, build, maintain and submit your own Creator Games;
  3. distribute and make available Output, in the form needed to publish or operate your Creator Game, as part of that Creator Game only; and
  4. disclose Kit Materials in confidence to your employees and contractors working on your Creator Games, and to a Third-Party Platform, regulator or testing laboratory to the extent it requires them to review or certify your Creator Game, provided each recipient is bound to use them only for that purpose.

Sample artwork, theme packs, audio and other media included in the Kit Materials are licensed for development and evaluation only, unless the item's accompanying licence or a written agreement with us expressly permits commercial distribution.

Export rights and licences. A successful export gives you the files described for that export, with the rights granted in this section; it does not transfer ownership of our platform, third-party software or media. Check the licence and attribution requirements for every asset and dependency before distributing a game. Replace development-only material or obtain the required commercial licence. Your own original contributions remain yours as described in section 5. Saving or exporting an already created project does not consume another Build Credit.

4. Restrictions

Except as this EULA expressly permits or Applicable Law allows despite this restriction, you must not:

  1. sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, distribute, publish or otherwise make Kit Materials available in source form, or as a template, framework, library, starter kit, game engine or development tool, to anyone;
  2. use Kit Materials to build or offer a product or service that competes with Slot Creator, including a game-creation tool, hosted studio or template marketplace;
  3. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Desktop App that we do not provide in source form;
  4. remove, alter or obscure any copyright, licence, trade mark or other notice in the Kit Materials or Open-Source Components;
  5. circumvent, disable or interfere with any security, integrity or licensing feature, including checksums, manifests and code-signing checks;
  6. use Slot Creator or Code Creations names, logos or trade marks in or with any Output, or suggest that we endorse, certify or operate your Creator Game, without our prior written permission;
  7. use the Desktop App, the Kits or any Output to offer, operate or promote real-money gambling without every licence and approval required by Applicable Law, or in any way that breaches the Terms or Applicable Law; or
  8. transfer your rights under this EULA to anyone.

5. Ownership

5.1 The Desktop App and the Kit Materials are licensed, not sold. We and our licensors own them and all intellectual property rights in them, including in any copy or modification.

5.2 You own your User Content and the original elements you add to your Creator Games, subject to our rights in the Kit Materials and to the rights of third parties. Output that contains Kit Materials remains subject to this EULA for those materials.

5.3 We reserve all rights not expressly granted in this EULA.

6. Third-party and open-source components

6.1 The Desktop App and the Kits include or depend on Open-Source Components, which may include, for example, build tools and frameworks, the Electron runtime, Python packages and fonts licensed under the SIL Open Font License. Each Open-Source Component is governed by its own licence, which may be included with the component or in its package metadata.

6.2 If this EULA conflicts with the licence of an Open-Source Component, that licence governs your use of that component. Nothing in this EULA restricts a right that an open-source licence grants you.

6.3 To the fullest extent permitted by Applicable Law, we give no warranty and accept no liability for Open-Source Components or other third-party material, and you are responsible for complying with their licences when you distribute Output.

7. Your Output and what you ship

7.1 The base mechanics, maths tools and layouts in a Kit are a development starting point. You and your own team are responsible for the configuration, custom features, upgraded animations, character or minion behaviours and other enhancements you add, unless that work is expressly included in a separate written agreement. You are responsible for your decision to submit or publish the resulting game, subject to our own obligations and the protections in section 20 of the Terms.

7.2 Your team must review the final mathematics, RTP, outcome books, weights, payout calculations, mode costs, maximum win and interactions between features against the final rules and paytable. Development fixtures are not final release mathematics and must not be represented as certified. Preserve the integrity and agreement of the outcome books, lookup data and frontend submitted for release, and complete any optimisation, verification and independent certification required for the selected platform.

7.3 Verification tools in the Kits, such as release audits, checksums and manifests, check internal consistency only. Passing them does not mean that Output is correct, compliant, secure or acceptable to any Third-Party Platform or regulator.

7.4 Before you publish any Output, your team must independently review and test its code and deployment security, RGS and wallet behaviour, recovery and replay, intellectual-property rights and required licences, and jurisdiction-specific obligations. Obtain every approval that Applicable Law and the intended Third-Party Platform require. Export and submission tools do not promise approval by Engine Studio, Stake Engine, a regulator or an operator, or commercial success.

7.5 Project identity. The game name confirmed when a project is created is locked to that project. A differently named copy, imported new project or other new slot uses another available Build Credit or a separately granted creation allowance. Saving, applying changes to or exporting the same project does not use another credit. Deleting the project does not return a used credit. These rules do not restrict statutory remedies or rights granted by an applicable third-party or open-source licence.

8. The Desktop App

8.1 The Desktop App is currently an unsigned development build. Windows or security software may warn you before installation. You are responsible for verifying any checksum we publish and for deciding whether to install and run the Desktop App, which you do at your own risk.

8.2 The Desktop App runs a local service on your device and stores your account, projects, artwork and any AI Provider key locally. You are responsible for securing and backing up your device and that data. The Desktop App contacts an AI Provider only after you save a key for it.

8.3 Local simulator checkout is labelled as a test and cannot move money. If the Desktop App connects to the hosted service or opens a live processor checkout, a separately confirmed software purchase may involve real money. Rely on the displayed environment, payment amount and method, and the Payment Policy; the Desktop App does not provide player gambling balances.

9. Updates and support

9.1 We may, but are not obliged to, provide updates, patches or new versions. Some updates may be required to keep using the Desktop App or a feature. Updates are governed by this EULA unless they come with different terms.

9.2 Support, custom development and compatibility commitments are those expressly included in your order or a separate written agreement. Nothing in this section excludes mandatory duties to provide required updates, conforming digital content or services with reasonable care and skill, or the remedies that Applicable Law gives you.

10. Term and termination

10.1 This EULA continues until it is terminated. It ends automatically, without notice, if you breach it or the Terms, and it also ends if your Account is closed or we end the Terms under section 17 of the Terms.

10.2 If we ban, suspend or terminate you under the Terms, your licence under this EULA is suspended or ends at the same time, and you may not download, install, export or use the Desktop App or any Kit, including through another Account, without our prior written permission (see section 17.5 of the Terms).

10.3 When this EULA ends, you must stop using the Desktop App and the Kit Materials and delete every copy in your possession or control.

10.4 If this EULA ends for a reason other than your breach, you may continue to distribute Output that was lawfully published before it ended, in the form in which it was published, subject to the rest of this EULA and the Terms.

10.5 Sections 4 to 7 and 10 to 15 survive termination.

11. Export controls and sanctions

You must comply with section 28 of the Terms. You must not download, export, re-export or transfer the Desktop App, the Kits or any Output to any person, destination or end use prohibited by export control or sanctions laws.

12. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by Applicable Law, the Desktop App, the Kits, the Kit Materials, Open-Source Components and Output are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind, as set out in section 18 of the Terms. Without limiting that section, we do not warrant that the Desktop App or any Kit will install, build, run, remain compatible, be free of vulnerabilities or produce Output that is correct, compliant or acceptable to any Third-Party Platform or regulator.

13. Liability and indemnity

13.1 The limitations and exclusions of liability in section 19 of the Terms, and the exceptions in section 20, apply to the Desktop App, the Kits and all Output.

13.2 Your indemnity in section 21 of the Terms extends to every Claim and Loss arising out of or relating to any Output, any distribution or publication of Output or a Creator Game, any Open-Source Component you distribute, and any breach of this EULA.

13.3 Nothing in this EULA limits any liability or right that cannot be limited or excluded under Applicable Law, or treats your responsibility for your own game as a waiver of our contractual obligations, responsibility for our own conduct or mandatory Consumer remedies.

14. Government users

If you are a United States government end user, the Desktop App and the Kit Materials are "commercial computer software" and "commercial computer software documentation", and your rights are only those granted to all other users under this EULA, in accordance with 48 C.F.R. 12.212 and 48 C.F.R. 227.7202, as applicable.

15. Governing law, disputes and general terms

15.1 This EULA is governed by the law, and disputes about it are resolved in the way, set out in section 23 and section 24 of the Terms, including binding individual arbitration and the class action and jury waivers for users in the United States.

15.2 The general terms in section 26 of the Terms, including severability and precedence, and the change process in section 27, apply to this EULA.
